The city has mandated that delivery services using bicycles or similar means reduce or suspend operations between 12:30 and 16:00, focusing on cooler times for work. Provisions for water, breaks, and refreshment areas are also required on days classified as critically hot.

In Bologna, delivery workers plan to deactivate their apps and hold demonstrations in the city center. A similar stoppage is expected in Florence, where temperatures could reach 40°C this week. These actions aim to highlight the need for better protections during extreme weather conditions.
